Well this month HF has the Predator 3500 for $690.
This may just sway me from:
Champion 3400 Dual Fuel @ $1000
Westinghouse 4200 Dual Fuel $1000
Powerhorse 3500 (looks just like the Predator) $750
Firman 3650 $950
or
etrailer (Firman) 3800 (dual 2000 parallel) $835
etrailer (Firman) 4900 (2000 & 3200 parallel) $1000
Honda 4400 (dual 2200 parallel) $2100
Must have:
ALL will provide min. 3000 W.
QUIETEST
Like to have:
Dual Fuel
Electric start
Remote start
prefer 1 unit vs 2
<$1000
The Quietest are the Champion & Predator & Powerhouse & Honda
Giving up the WANT for dual fuel, adding Hour meter AND extended Warranty
leaves me with Powerhorse and Predator.
Now pick between dealing with HF or Northern Tools (I like dealing with etrailer support but they don't carry the Firman 3640).
Since HF Headquarters is 15 miles from me and I have 5 stores in that same distance, most of the online reviews praise this model I will probably go with the Predator (and take my chances w extended warranty).

Welcome to the forum!
7 to 1100 for 3000 watts ... I have a generator, not inverter, I bought new for 400 .... I am putting it in a sound box, eventually. I have solar for all of the low voltage stuff (including a 12v TV), so the generator is really only for the microwave and the AC. Oh and my generator runs on propane.
Very interested to see what you come up with!

Although, I,m registered on several forums (so many to choose) first time for Starcraft RV Owners.
Bought a Travelstar 229TB in 2015, after over 25 yrs. of popups and many more years of other camping (tent and motorcycle).
All my trips have been Co-NM West and PNW.
What brought me to this site was researching a NEW Inverter Generator in the range of 3000W-4000W and QUIET as possible AND
stay in the $700-$1100 range. Already have a Honda 1000W and an older 7500W.
So that is my current research quest and next trip will be doing the beach for Thanksgiving (hopefully with a NEW Inverter Generator).
And work on a NEW battery setup.
