Furrion pre-wired backup camera question
Re: Furrion pre-wired backup camera question
I powered with the running lights. My trailer doesn't have backup lights.

Re: Furrion pre-wired backup camera question
When pre-wired, the camera is normally tied into the running lights. So, you will need to have your running lights on to operate the camera. If the initial connection doesn't work, check to see if the pre-wire was installed incorrectly. Mine was wired backwards. After I figured that out, no worries. Enjoy your new camera!

Furrion pre-wired backup camera question
Our 2017 24RLS came fitted with a Furrion Backup Camera mount that is (I assume) prewired. I bought the upgrade FOS48TA observation camera instead of the backup-only (primarily due to the added range), the camera arrived via UPS yesterday.
My question is, what is the camera powered by (i.e., the power connector is (I assume) connected to SOME power source)? I've heard that some are powered by the trim lighting and some by a switched source such as reverse lights.
I'm sure that there are others who have asked this question, but couldn't find the correct keywords to answer my question.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
