First Destination of the Spring
Re: First Destination of the Spring
we usually get out in the winter when the roads are not snow covered . I keep the camper shoveled out and the truck is always backed up to it and always have firewood and lawn chair in the truck. throw in a can of chili and some beer and good to go for a night. this winter though it has been extremely windy at times so have not ventured out yet. we usually go to the koa on mothers day but this year we are going to a forest service campground right by the park on the Madison river. usually low 20s at night but we just bring a lot of firewood and have the camper nice and cozy before we go in for the night.

There is a nice little camp ground by me (private) that I like to take the camper too first trip of the year to make sure there are no kinks.
Spend a weekend there usually, work on the camper and do a little fishing. Oh, and drink a few brews.

Normally I get mine out the first week in May.
I am also interested in camping in Michigan, any recommendations?

First Destination of the Spring
For some of us, winter is storage time for our trailers, as we wait for mother nature to do her thing. So where is the first place your heading as soon as the weather allows?
For me it Inverhuron provincial park, it will be just me and my son, it is only 1.5 hrs from home. It will likely still be cool out, but it will be camping.
Share your plans, maybe some of us are near each other.
