I have a 11 x 17 door on the way. It's not ideal, but if I screw up cutting it out, I could always cut a bigger hole for a bigger door. haha...

I'm finally doing this because I also have a pair of recliners on the way to replace the jackknife sofa. Of course, that means I'm going to have to remove the 30 amp plywood power cord box. I'm planning on installing a new 30 amp marine type socket in this same mystery storage space. I'm going to leave the original 30 amp cord hole/cover so I can feed a heavy duty extension cord in when needed for our electric heater.

ahh... that explains something. I knew the front door wouldn't fit back there because of the 19' awning.

Yes, thanks, I would like to know several things - the outside dimensions, does it have the same type latch/lock as the front and how did they handle the interior wiring? Pictures inside and out were be great!

Just thought I would chime in here...we do have a 2016 24rls. And it DOES have that 3rd door storage in the back entry side. If you want I can post a pic tomorrow...it is very handy. Have a tote in there for electric cable and our pads we use for under stablizers.

Txtwosome,

Why not have the dealership swap out the furniture you want into the particular coach you want ?

Most lightweight trailers are not rated to install a carrier on the rear bumper. If you plan to add a bike rack or any kind of carrier on the rear bumper, I would see if the dealer will beef up the way the bumper is welded to the frame and guarantee it. Worth a try.

Also, there is a recall on the way the furnace is mounted. Should make sure it's OK.

Overall quality is quite good. I will say the factory could do a better job vacuuming up saw dust inside cavities. It bounces out light fixtures, speakers, etc. Also you might want to check the plastic underbelly to see if it is sagging in between perimeter mounting screws. Mine has screws about every 3', but it was sagging up to 1/2" between screws - enough to let in unwanted guests. With the insulated underbelly, the factory makes no attempt to seal large holes and gaps where plumbing and electrical go through the floor, so it's important the underbelly be well sealed. I sealed mine with black duct tape.

Be aware the rear propane port is apparently proprietary. I had to replace mine to be able to use a standard connector.

A rear ladder would be nice. I carry a fiberglass step ladder, mainly to wipe water and leaves off the slideout roof before retracting it inside.

We are very pleased with our 24rls. Best layout we've had for the two of us. Plenty of storage. Does a good job heating and and cooling both ends.

We are presently looking at the 2016 24rls the dealer has three of them in stock two of them have the storage door and one does not.

The one with out the door also has cloth couch and dinette while the other two have Leather (vinyl).

Also the two with the door outside also have a space under the couch that can be used.

All three of these units have 15k AC and climate package. Power tongue jack and battery disconnect.

Are there any other things I should ask about this model? I already decided the outside access door is a must for me.

I am also going to ask dealer about adding a Ladder seems strange to me for them not to have one.
