I noticed the same thing when I got ready to winterize. I stuffed steal wool in the gaps. My Launch had to sit outside all winter and it worked great. Hope that helps.

I'll go take a look. We have Jack Russells, so mice isn't a problem.

We did have our slide out seal replaced when the original one split all apart.

Floor gap when Slider closed

Launch Ultra Lite 24rls - on the way home from Florida the other day we stopped at a KOA but didn't bother to extend the slider since it was supposed to rain during the night. We were parked in such a way the sun was hitting that side at a low angle. I noticed light coming in at the corners of the slider down at the floor. I was surprised because I had seen light there before and had packed the corners with foam tubing.

So I got down on the floor where I could look along the entire length of slider under the carpet. I was shocked to see there was a 3/4" gap to the outside along the entire length of the slider. They have a rubber gasket along there but it either isn't thick enough or somehow there is a 3/4" mismatch between the slider and the floor/wall. I thought maybe the slider just wasn't coming in all the way, but it can't come in any further.

My main concern is mice. I'm not sure how to fix this. I need to attach something that can compress. It would be easier if there wasn't cabling going through the same gap. For now I'm thinking about just stuffing coarse steel wool in the 7' long gap. I know it will all fall out as soon as I open the slider.

Interestingly the slider seals pretty well when it is open all the way. I would be tempted to store it with the slider out, but the place I store it wouldn't like that very much due to space.

Any ideas? I know - a picture would be worth a 1000 words...
