Thanks !

I'll look around under the sink to see how much room there is.

The one you mentioned appears to be 21 ounces, so it would probably supply 10 ounces of water before the pump would kink on. I'm sure it would take care of pump chatter, but wouldn't supply enough water for example to do a flush in the middle of the night without waking the wife.

I installed a 2 gallon pre-pressurized tank under my kit sink beside the pump. It can supply about 15 seconds of water before the pump runs. Then the pump runs a good 15 seconds or so recharging the tank before it shuts off. I'm happy with it. Wish I had done it on previous campers.

Accumulator for water system ?

Post by Houston Remodeler » November 13th, 2015, 3:04 am

Perhaps adding crap to our Launch has gotten a little off the rails, but I am pondering adding an accumulator to the water system.

The noise doesn't really bother me, but I was wondering about damage to the pump. The noise does sound like the pump is rapid cycling unless we run the valves full open which rarely happens.

What is a better accumulator? I don't want to buy junk, but I don't need a gold plated version either.
