Re: Introductions
I'm so happy to have just discovered that there is a Starcraft Owners Forum!! I had done a Google search today looking for info on adding a dimmer to our LED Awning light and got a link to a discussion on this forum.
We bought our 2015 Autumn Ridge 245 DS in May of 2015 and I had briefly looked for a forum but didn't find it, so I was certainly happy when the link came up today.
I've been camping most of my life, in a tent and a Pop up as a kid, and later a lot of tent camping when my son was in cub scouts. After several years of not camping, a friend bought a 5th wheel and we dragged our tent out of the attic and got back into it. We quickly realized that tent camping was a bit too much work since we were getting older and we went looking for a small used camper.
Prior to this Autumn Ridge, we owned a 2011 Rockwood Mini Lite 2304 that we bought used, so I was a member of the Forest River Forums and found it to be a great source of info. As much as we loved "Rocky" we decided we wanted a separate bedroom and a little more living space, so we went shopping and found the 245DS had the floorplan we wanted.
Now that we are Starcraft owners I'm glad to have a place to talk with other Starcrafters.
"Artie" ( as I have dubbed our camper) is our second TT and so far we've been pretty pleased with it. We tow with a 2004 GMC Savana 2500 that formerly belonged to an electrician, so it has great storage shelves inside for our gear and the ladder racks on top are great for hauling our kayaks.
My hubby, Pat is retired. But I still work full time for the county school system overseeing the warehouse for a few more years. Despite work getting in the way of camping, we head out as often as we can. We are great fans of the North Carolina state park system, and don't mind not having FHUs. ( But I prefer at least electric!). We've put a lot of miles on Artie, with a trip to Wisconsin for Airventure only 2 months after we got him. We've also been to PA, VA and SC. We are always on the lookout for a place to camp that has a lake or river where we can kayak.

Re: Introductions
Hello from one of the Parkhoppers. I am a life-long camper, anything from tents on up. We purchased a StarCraft AR-ONE 17RD in August, and have logged about 5,000 miles on it so far. Working out its kinks and making mods along the way. We travel almost exclusively to state and national parks across the country. Do a bit of kayaking, canoeing, hiking; and a lot of bird watching and photography. Looking forward to learning more about our newest camper here on the forum.

Welcome John and Janelle! Glad to have you here.kuba122 wrote:We bought our fist trailer this past February. So far we are having a BLAST!!
We live in Dallas took the circuitous route to land here in 1991.
I am an electronics tech by day and a software developer on the side and a musician whenever I can be. Camping feeds the inspirational side .... About half retired, at this point.
We have a Starcraft AR-1 Travel Trailer.
Thanks for adding us!!
