I agree a bad design. I am still trying to open it the way You all told me. Thanks, I will keep trying until I get back to the dealer.

On my 2015 24rls I had to have the dealer show me how to open it, there should be two tabs on the bottom of the vent that you have to push up on and out. It's very hard to open. dealer said as you open it it will get easier to open as the plastic loosens up! just be careful as to not break the latches! A bad design if you ask me. good Luck with your new camper!

I have a 2016 16rb and mine opens when you turn the fan on. i also noticed when putting it away the other day when closing the door it flapped and couldnt figure out what the noise was so i opened and closed the door a few times and traced the flapping sound to the range vent. so i think the flap at least on mine is held closed by gravity and opened by air pressure. hope that helps.

If its like all of the other standard vents, there should be two tabs on the outside. Lift up on those slightly, and pull.

It doesn't open much, just enough to make a little space for the air to escape.

I have a 2016 24rls StarCraft ultra lite. Can anyone tell me how to open the vent on the outside. This vent is used for the exhaust fan above the range top . I haven't been back to dealer to ask yet. Thanks Max
