I called StarCraft customer service today and was told NOT to use a w/d hitch on our 3611HW. Looks like airbags for the 4Runner ;)

My friend found a one bar WD hitch for his pop-up camper, search for a WD hitch for a pop-up.

WD Hitch

Post by 3611HW » July 26th, 2015, 11:38 am

Picked up our Comet 3611HW about a month ago and have been out two times so far. Our last trip was fully loaded and since I let the DW pack  . Tongue weight is over 350, add two kids and luggage in back of the 4Runner and she was sagging pretty good. I have asked the dealer about a wd hitch on a C channel frame and was told it would be fine as long as you did not go crazy tight with the bars. I have also read NOT to use a wd hitch on a C channel frame for fear of bending the frame. Thoughts?

Thanks!
