The trailer is pre-wired for a back up camera. I ordered one from the recommended supplier, Furrion, and I just received it. It's supposed to be a plug N play installation. I'll let you guys know if that's true. Here's a link to the system

I'm waiting now for my dealer to finish up a few warranty items so I can bring it home. Nothing major: no AM stations on the radio, window valence missing a couple of screws, top gasket on front slide came out of its track, and installation of a 50 amp hard wired surge protector. I should get it back next week. We're planning our first outing for the last weekend this month.
Interesting concept.

That would be great for longer RVs.

Is the camera portion battery powered? I have to wonder how long the batteries last, and if you have to manually turn it off.
The power wiring is installed on the trailer and the camera is turned on when you put your tow vehicle into reverse. The camera talks to the monitor in the TV through a wireless system.

I purchased the camera and monitor from Furrion for $399.00. The price did not include the mount, that's sold separately, but I didn't need it because it is already installed on the trailer. If you dig into the installation instructions/manual on line you'll see how the camera attaches to the installed mount.

I am going to see if mine is pre-wired. I have been thinking it would be great to have a back up camera. There was no mention of it during the purchase or walk through. Is there any visual indication that would indicate that I have the wiring?

I bet you can't wait.

Very nice.

We probably have another 2 months of waiting up here in Illinois before we can even consider getting out there.
