Congrats on your new trailer! The water pump will make a little noise when it's running, but I'm not sure how much growling you're talking about. if you think it's to much, have your dealer check it out. The tank sensors register when they're wet. The black tank could have something stuck on it. Be sure to use plenty of water when flushing, and always put a couple of gallons of water in the tank before the toilet is used on a trip. This helps prevent the dreaded "poop mountain" from building up. The grey tank could have a bad sensor or a bad connection. Have your dealer take a look. Although these tank sensors can usually be trusted, they are known for giving bad readings as you have experienced.
Best of luck and happy camping!

Newbie questions

Post by Svanderkolff » August 3rd, 2015, 10:10 pm

this is our first travel trailer, the Autumn Ridge 27bdh, and we are thoroughly enjoying the change from the tent trailer. A couple of things we were wondering about though. The water pump growls loudly every time it kicks in, is this normal? Also the grey and black water tanks, we just emptied out the black and flushed it but when we got home it still registers 2/3 full, which is what it said before we drained it. The grey water tank read full even though we rarely used it in the three days we were there. Is there a trick to this or do you just end up going on experience.
Thanks from the new guy.
