Our switch went bad the day we picked up the trailer ! Luckily we made them fully operate the slide and the awning only to discover the awning would not retract due to a bad switch.

One of the benefits of the Lippert Solara awning is the feature where you can retract it manually if it has failed electrically. What did you find as your problem?

Power Awning Failure - will not retract

Post by dheasman » May 9th, 2016, 1:10 am

We have a 2015 26bhs Launch - had it at home this weekend getting it ready for the season and we had the awning out for some shade, unfortunately the awning would not retract. We are new to all of this so we trouble shooted some things with our dealer with no luck. Our owners manual did not have any info on the awning either. Long story short we found that the power awning has a simple manual override (thank you google!). just wanted to share this, nothing worse than having your awning stuck in the extended position and you needing to tow your trailer somewhere. If your "green" like us, this site will help!! http://lippertcomponents.vzaar.me/2667525 - turns out our switch is shot and a new one is on order, next thing on the old camping "list" is a power drill and a 7/16 bit
