Just in case someone may not know. Harbor Freight sells a nice collapsible 4 way lug wrench that is easy to store.

I am really impressed with how many things on the trailer are from American companies, and in a lot of cases, american made. Another reason I am happy to own a Starcraft!

Instead of RV manufacturers they should be called RV assemblers. Starcraft (Jayco) buys a Lippert axle with its own lug nuts. Then they buy a spare tire mounting kit, also with its own bolts & nuts made by Ultra-Fab. I'm not complaining. That's just the way it's done these days. Same for cars and trucks. Despite off-shore TV's and radios, I suspect the typical travel trailer has more American components than the typical car/truck.

Just a thought but wouldn’t it be more cost effective to use the same lugs on both, One less part to control and keep up with.

This might not apply to other trailers, but my 2016 24rls has 13/16" lug nuts on the wheels and 3/4" nuts on the spare tire. And yes, the threads are different, too. The ones on the spare have regular coarse threads, and the ones on the wheels are fine thread. A person could change the spare bolts to match the wheels, but it's easier to carry a 4-way lug wrench. Then just for laughs, my truck has 7/8" lug nuts...

I'm going to check mine before the next trip, that WOULD be a hassle. (Of course I do have an adjustable wrench always on hand, that should do the trick, as long as they are not rediculously torqued down!)

Did you bring an example of each to your local parts guy? he can find a few nuts with the correct threads combined with the wrench size matching the road tire nut. I would just guess that the threads are different too, and they don't want u breaking them off with the tire Iron!

Question, did yours come with a tire Iron? I have the Launch 16RB 2016, and have not seen it in there on delivery.

You are right. That is dumb.

Seriously?
