Water heater problem
Re: Water heater problem
Try looking for and cleaning the thermocouple. It may also have a combo thermo couple and flame sensor. Propane can tend to get a white residue on them and that gives false readings. Also make sure that it's being heated directly in the flame. Not off to the side a little bit.

It lights right away just does what I explained. Also small red light comes on inside by the power switchGaryG wrote: ↑June 20th, 2018, 11:41 pmMine does not light the first time if I have had the lp gas turned off and recently turn it on. Even when I turn the LP gas on it typically takes 2 or 3 tries until the air gets out of the line. If your hot water tank is in the rear of your RV then the LP gas has a long ways to travel. I hope this helps.

Water heater problem
If I turn it on igniter sparks and gas valve opens and gas ignites. Igniter continues to spark for 1 or 2 min then flame and gas valve shuts off. Ideas 6 gallon atwood propane only
