I weighed my 24rls at a Pilot last year, loaded and on the way to a week long camping trip. It came in a little over 6,100 lbs. There were plenty of other things we would have taken if we could have, but ultra lights just don't have the cargo capacity.

Spec sticker says it can carry 940 lbs cargo, which isn't really that much. It's supposed to weigh 5,310 lbs with 2 full propane tanks but no water in any of the tanks. That adds up to 6,250 lbs in theory. Don't forget a 100 lb leveling/stabilizer hitch uses up part of that 940 cargo weight.

I started out towing it with a 2015 Chevy Colorado 3.6L V-6 with 305hp and 7,000 lb towing package. It had the power, but the trailer tended to manhandle the truck on expressways, even with a leveling/stabilizer hitch. Didn't feel safe.

Now I'm using a 2016 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7L V-8 395hp and 10,620 lb towing. Happy, no issues. Mpg towing is about the same as the V6 Chevy . around 12mpg.

Hello - New to this forum.

I recently purchased a new Launch Ultra Lite 24RLS and will soon be looking to purchase a new tow vehicle (that's a question for another board). I'm having trouble finding a public scale to get a loaded weight for the trailer and would like to know if anyone can give me a ballpark on the loaded weight of this trailer (ie - full water and food/supplies for a week). Any information is appreciated. Thanks.
