It's in Statesville, NC... about 45 minutes north of Charlotte.
Sounds like it's one of the few good ones. Like any dealership, Ford, Chevy, BMW, it's all about who runs it and if the employees care. Sandra, the service writer, is awesome!

Follow-up for those that may remember...
Well our trailer ended up getting hit a few weeks after that post. It was in the shop for 4 or 5 weeks getting a new roof skin. A tour bus clipped the back drain, ripping it up and tearing the skin. While it was in the shop replaced a failed skylight in the shower (it looked like it melted and cracked) and fixed the leak. Note on the repair order was that the window wasn't properly sealed by the factory.
I'm pleased with the repairs that were done. After all the problems people have with Camping World, the dealership here seems to do a great job, Statesville, NC. Having a service manager who is a good friend's cousin could help too!!

Yeah, doesn't sound like same area.
Water seems to be originating in the red circled area. No evidence of water on the wall, no damage to the wood on the dinette or fridge wall. No water coming up from the water heater below and now water in the water heater storage area.
Our dealer seems pretty good. A good friend's cousin works in their warranty / service department. She really went to bat when another friend had roof hail damage. She stayed after the manufacturer and insurance company to get his trailer fixed right.

My 16RB leak in that area was the furnace exhaust. I removed the exterior metal shield and RTVed the plastic insert, then replaced the metal shield. Never determined that was the leak, but the factory sealing looked suspect, and after my repair, I never had the leak again.

My leak was the floor under the table area and ran along floor all the way over to the far bench area. No wall wetness or higher up, so that may not be your issue.

I avoid the dealer route myself. After all is dry, I would still have someone hose the exterior while I scanned for the start of a leak to point the dealer to a suspect spot.

16rb - leak

Post by lagunamiata » August 25th, 2016, 6:19 pm

We're still under warranty, so I'm not too concerned about finding it myself, I'll let the dealer do it... but, just wondering if any of y'all have had a similar leak.

On the dinette cushion, the one that backs up to the fridge, we find water on the wall side. I'm guessing its either from the window or roof. We usually have the table down, use it as a bed. The sheet ends up wet in that area.

Any ideas or previous experience?
