I'm not an expert on this but I have resealed and done work on my trailer roof. I would say as long as your lap sealant is covering the area that got cut, you should be fine. As with anything on the roof, just do regular inspections on it to ensure all your seals continue to be in good shape. If cracks or openings appear, touch up as needed.

Rubber Roof

Post by Jlh » October 21st, 2021, 9:48 pm

I just removed the old cracking dicor on the shower sky light on my 17SB and replaced the caulking. When I was removing the old I inadvertently cut about one inch of the rubber roof in an area under the caulking. Is this a serious issue?
Thanks
