This time I disconnected the battery negative cable first as suggested in the manual and no beeping. Trailer is put away for winter. I will be putting a shut off switch on the negative cable in the spring. 😜

Last weekend while connected to shore power ours did the same thing. LP/CO fault light was beeping (every 30 seconds) all fuses and breakers looked good. Pretty sure we have an issue with the converter and it is not charging the battery while hooked to shore power. Batteries had run almost empty causing the beeping. low battery power creates the fault in LP/CO detector and it will beep. Once batteries were back to power, this issue stopped. Converter and possible in-line converter fuse are getting checked out tomorrow.

I have a fuse at the battery that when removed shuts off 12vdc to the trailer. Fuse is removed, beeping continues. There are two other connections on the positive post of the battery, I believe one is for the tongue jack and the other for brakes. Perhaps disconnecting the negative wire from the battery would be a good idea. I will have the trailer home this weekend, then I will dig into where the beeping is coming from.

Looks almost exactly like mine but mine is located in the front baggage compartment. I like it because it cuts all power off to the coach yet doesn't cut battery power to the power hitch/jack and exterior hitch light.

Installing a marine grade battery switch at the battery will solve the problem and also save the battery from discharging while in storage. There is a healthy debate to add the disconnect to the anode or the cathode, but it really doesn't matter.

That sounds like a smoke detector with a low battery, but I'm sure you have checked that out. When I disconnect my house batteries, everything in the coach electrical shuts down. This is why disconnect switches are installed otherwise my microwave clock, DVD/CD player clock, LP and CO2 detector lights all stay on. Sorry, not much help.

2015 Launch 26bhs Beeping

Post by Toyman57 » September 28th, 2017, 6:22 pm

Hello all,
I just purchased the 26BHS. When I remove shore power and pull the dealer installed 30 amp battery fuse something in the trailer makes a beeping sound about every 30 seconds or so. This has been going on for 3 days now, I believe it is coming from behind the LP/CO detector. How do I shut it off?

Thanks
