HI, you are going to love camping !!

Anyway, this happened to us too. We called Camping World and they had to give us a new battery for our brand new AR-MAXX ONE/StarCraft.

This happened during our very first week of purchase after our LED Light on our awning caught fire during our big revile to our neighbors day 1 in our driveway. How embracing. :? and scary too.

call the dealership asap

That is really weird.

I can't imagine what would prevent the 12V system from taking over when not plugged into shore power.

Ok checked out the ground..unhooked all cables. Took sandpaper to the area where the ground was attached to frame to eliminate any paint, re hooked it all up..when turned shore power off everything went dead. No power. And the battery says it is fully charged. Guess a call to service department in the am.

Aha..I plugged back into shore power...the gauge on the inside next to door says I have a fully charged battery.. But when I unplug shore power...the battery does not take over. And the battery switch in the storage compartment is on, shows green. I assumed the battery would take over, say for lights, etc. again, is there another switch I am supposed to throw.. :?: thanks

Did you check the battery with a meter to make sure it's really run down? If the battery is ok, you might have a bad ground connection to the frame. That happened to me on my 2016 24rls after just a few months. The factory worker had neglected to remove the frame paint where the cable bolt/nut was attached.

Your battery switch was probably turned off.

Drained battery?

Post by tdennehy2012 » May 8th, 2016, 12:40 am

Ok husband and I brand new to this RV thing. Purchased 2016 24RLS in November then proceeded to put in storage for 5 months so needless to say forgot most of walk thru. So got back from 1st trip last week end. Was pretty proud of ourselves everything seemed to go well. When we got home plugged in elec directly to house. Left for day while unpacking. Last thing we did was unplug electric. Then we remembered wanted to get something out of tv cabinet so needed to slide out. Thats ok....just use battery power....wrong...battery completely drained. What did we do wrong?
BTW. This forum very helpful. Been reading lots of subjects we have questions about...thank you all!
