Admin is now required to authorize new accounts.
I am not happy I had to implement this, but the spambots are out of control. Even with countermeasures in place.

Yes, require approval. I hate seeing it as much as you hate getting rid of it!

We had the spam under control for a while, but lately it's out of control again.
I am thinking about requiring new members to be approved before they are allowed to post.
What is everybody'should thoughts on that? Cleaning up the forum is taking a considerable amount to of my time lately.

As you can sometimes see, we are still being infiltrated by quite a bit of spam.
In conjunction with moderating these posts off the forum, I am looking at more security requirements upon registration. Walking a fine line between creating an environment that is too tough for normal users, yet deters continued spam posts.
Please be patient!

Sorry about all of the spam. It should all be cleaned up now.
If you happen to come across a thread or post that you suspect is spam, please click the exclamation point at the top right of the post to report it.
I am banning these users by IP, so hopefully that will cut down on their ability to keep posting.
Happy camping!
