Awning Arm Tensioner
Re: Awning Arm Tensioner
I have done exactly the same thing with my Lippert awning. One puff of wind and it lifts up, can't keep it angled or tipped down to keep some shade. I use two different length shock cords so it stays slightly tilted. If I every buy another camper it won't have a Lippert awning. Our old camper had a Carefree electric adjustable pitch awning. It was light-years ahead in quality and design. I emailed Lippert about the problem, got an oh well response.
Re: Awning Arm Tensioner
If I have one end lower than the other end in case it rains, it will eventually rise to the default high position due to wind I think. Couldn't find any adjustments, hence the tried and true bungee cord. Just needed holes fasten the bungee cord.

Yes for the rain. The awning will move on its own once full, but the surprise waterfall isn't as much fun as it sounds.

Awning Arm Tensioner
Awning arms tend to drift back to high position. Drilled 1/4" holes in lower channel for attaching bungee cords, which provide extra tension to keep awning in low setting.
