Just did the same mod. I put the 2 black screws back in the original holes with caulk also. I think it looks more finished that way

I got it at Amazon but Camping World has them as well. If you have an Amazon prime account with free shipping it was 27 bucks. Camping world is about $10 more I think.

Looks good. Where did you get the handle?

Just installed the grab handle. Here's a pic of it. All went well but it left two very small holes near the bottom of the new grab handle. The standard handle was shorter than this new handle. I will caulk the two tiny holes when I get the trailer back to the house. I went to the storage place and replaced the handle this morning. This handle is just much better for the wife and just about everyone coming into the trailer. The wife says it also helps when she exits the trailer.

Just got my new grab handle (Lend-a-hand AM800 Black) today from Amazon. It's just a bit different than the one you installed. The top is angled just a bit. Thanks for posting your installation details as that really helps me as to how mine is going to fit. I'll probably take a pic as well and post it when I'm done.

I've been thinking about doing the same thing. Thanks for giving me a little shove to get this done, lol.

Thanks for sharing. You did a fantastic job. I have the same TT and have been considering a more robust grab handle for the wife.

I did this same job on the last trailer right before I traded it in LOL. That seems to be repeat behavior for me for some reason.... I get things all 'perfect' then trade/sell them.

I removed the factory door grab handle and replaced with the Stromberg Carlson AM-255 Lend-A-Hand Mini Rail. One of the holes on each mounting bracket lined up with the existing holes. I pumped sealant into the holes that didn't align and drilled pilot holes for the 2 new holes. I purchased new mounting screws that were shorter than the included screws (they would have punched through the inside wall). This is much more convenient than the original handle.
