I've thought about doing something like that but just never got off my butt to make it happen. Very nice!

Water Filter Modification

Post by tslarson » May 4th, 2015, 2:24 am

We mostly camp at state parks where there is maybe electricity, but never any at site water or sewer. We fill the water tank up, but often don't enjoy the smell or taste of the parks well water nor just the effects of the water being stored in a big plastic tank. I installed a whole trailer filter for the water tank. Works great. It is a Pentek 5" filter with 1/2" pipe threads. I had to order the filter head, housing, bracket, and C2 carbon filters seperatly. I couldn't find a kit with the 1/2" fittings, and wanted that to match the rest of the trailers piping. Here is an example of the filter: https://www.filtersfast.com/5-inch-Smal ... ng-cat.asp
