Sounds like a good idea to me.

I always have a spotter when backing up, so if you are doing it yourself, that would seem to make sense.

Backup Beeper

Post by moallen » July 12th, 2015, 9:24 pm

Has anyone installed a backup beeper on a travel trailer? I used to have one on a Class C and really liked having it. Yeah, it does make everyone turn their heads and watch how good you are at backing into your campsite, but I always felt a lot safer with kids close by.

I don't know for sure but assume trailer manufacturers don't run a wire to the back since trailers don't have backup lights, but it should be on the tow vehicle's 7 pin connector. Come to think of it, I suppose it would work just as well mounted on my truck's bumper.

Dumb idea?
