You can stand right next to it and have a conversation at normal speaking voice.

As far as mobile - we plop it in the rear of the TV and strap it down. That's why we put an outlet in the front of the TT,

Update -

we found a gently used Honda 3000 on Craigs List for $1100.

Works perfectly, below 100 hours, runs 19 hours on a single tank, runs everything in the TT.

I did add an outlet on the front side of the TT to allow me to chain the generator in the bed of the TV to plug in the generator.

I was looking to buy a Honda inverter generator, but after hearing the Powerhorse 2000 @ Northern Tool I decided @599.00 I could afford two and they come free with parallel cables. Waiting for it to go on sell and with coupons if I can get all the discounts, less than 1200.00. I am surprised my wife is behind me on this, ha-ha no begging!!!

I had an extra Eastern Tools 1800 watt inverter generator laying around that was about 5 or 6 years old. We planned on using this for some planned dry camping.

Unfortunately, during a 10 hour power outage this weekend, it stopped working. I was going to screw around with it, but you will see some reviews that really tear it a new one. It's finicky, cheap, and not reliable.

So, the wife said go get the honda you want. I was on the truck in under 60 seconds.

The honda is great so far. The only issue I had was that the manual says it takes 13 ounces of oil, but I made a mess when I went to fill it. I had the unit tilted in order to fill the oil, and when I set it back down, oil came pouring out. I realized it didn't have 13 ounces in the pan and it needs to run. Once started, it pushed some of the oil into the engine allowing me too fill the rest of the way.

It started up in about 5 pulls the first time, each time after that, I prime pulled twice before starting. Fired right up.

The little engine sounds so much more solid that the cheap one I had. Still need to give it some break in time.

Overall, I'm excited to try it out in the field. Now I just need to get the parallel companion so we can run the air of really necessary.
