Finished the mod.

Basically, picked up 2 3' long aluminum angle to the frame with some self tapping metal screws.

Fits the box perfectly now. Strapped it down and good to go.

Thought the batteries were fully charged, but the charger turn on for a day or two. All good now. Excited to see how well the extra 130 amp hours work out.

I had the same problem I bolted 2 2x 6 pressure treated to the metal(front to back) and attached the battery box to the wood

Battery Box Oh-My!

I just purchased two 6 volt batteries from Costco.

I also ordered a end-to-end 6 volt battery box.

Upon mounting it to my trailer, I noticed that the existing angle iron battery rack is like 1/4" too close together preventing the box from seating down in the bracket.

Urgh. I was hoping it would be a quick easy fix.

Now my wife is telling me just to order the power armor aluminum diamond plate one, but I am not sure that will fit either.

I reallly don't want to have the brackets pulled and moved over 1/4", re-welded, and then painted. Any quick fix for this?
