I don't have a picture of the 'before' separation.

The diamond plate separated itself from the plywood decking, bowed out a bit.

A new picture will just be properly screwed in diamond plate from the under side of the trailer.

To check yours, lie on your back and look up at the very front edge where the diamond plate meets the plywood floor

Can you post a picture? I want to verify mine isn't doing the same.

Check your diamond plate

Post by Houston Remodeler » March 3rd, 2016, 10:22 pm

While making a modification to our Launch this week, I noticed the bottom edge of the front facing diamond plate had all the screw heads pulled through. The insulation was poking through. Water had an easy entry to the innerds.

The old screws were fairly widely spaced apart, a good 18 inches or more. We pushed the diamond plate back into position, then installed a new epoxy coated hex head washer self tapping screw every 5 or 6 inches.

We'll keep an eye on it.
