Re: What do you do for a boat when you tow your trailer

I was just thinking about boat transport, today. I wish there was an easy way to get my 14' Alumacraft F7 up on top of the TT or truck. After seeing your Zodiac, I may have been thinking backwards about the boat transport.

Re: Solar setup for your RV

I have a single 235W module, using a Morningstar MPPT-15 controller. I have 310AH of battery storage. My system is basically set up to run a small residential fridge and entertainment devices (LED T, DVD,V and stereo). I also charge a laptop and a phone or two. I don't have any circuit boards for he...

Re: making coffee with no hook ups

I use a Mellita type of coffee maker when there's just water to boil. I've also made "Cowboy Coffee" on occasion--Bring a pot of water to a boil, pour in ground coffee and let steep for a few minutes. The finishing touch is to add in a cup of cold water. The cold water sinks all the grounds to the b...

Re: Adjusting Brakes

I would suggest to remove the hubs and service the bearings. This will allow you to see the actual braking mechanisms and how they operate, overcome newb jacking and support education, insure that the bearings have an adecuate amount of grease and are adjusted correctly. The latter is not always do...

Re: Adding power inverter away from batteries

The thing is, the12V draw from the batteries in the trailers original layout can be handled by a 10 AWG wire without too much drop in voltage. The draw of the inverter, though, is many times greater and you will need 4-0 cable from the batteries for powering all the AC outlets without experiencing a...
