Re: Initial Experience and Quality
Ugg, I hate hearing about anybody having issues. Our experience with our 2014 (purchased in 2013) has been mostly positive. I'm not sure I can remember every last thing, but the major portion of our issues after 2 full camping seasons and over 8,000 miles towed so far: When new: These were all fixed...

Read the manual!
Posted this on another group I haunt as well in case you notice. It's not déjà vu! :D On my last trip out I noticed that my hitch seemed to be acting a bit squirrly. Not too bad but I seemed to be getting pushed around more than I remembered from last season. We were just getting ready to leave out ...

Re: Other topics?
I might suggest that if you think there is enough interest, a modification (Mods) board. I've seen a few in the general section, I put one in the AR section. I dunno, central spot for mods that can apply to several lines might work.

Re: Wisconsin Dells Camping
I'm guessing that Disneys Fort Wilderness does not exactly count as roughing it! LOL. Spent a week there last year, headed back next week. Easy boat ride to the Magic Kingdom and then on to Epcot via the Monorail.
If you have never been camping, don't go to FW first, it might spoil you.

Re: How long will my batteries last?
Yah, you really have to get an understanding of what your particular rig will use no matter what, what the antenna booster, propane detector, entertainment center, maybe the condensation preventer on the fridge are all taking off the top. Then, you have to estimate what the humans will be using and ...

Re: Jack Knife Couch Mod.
Great mod! Thanks for sharing. Unfortunately, I have the very uncomfortable single pad seat over my outside storage. Gotta figure out how to make that more comfortable! Maybe try putting a piece of memory foam under that existing pad? Heck even some sheet foam might help some. The question is how t...

Jack Knife Couch Mod.
Ok this is probably the most boring mod of all time... I have the plain "JackKnife" couch in my unit. After purchase I soon discovered that under this couch was a vast amount of potential storage. It's not that we really needed a lot of extra storage, but knowing it's there with no really easy way t...

Re: Rear view camera system
That's a nice looking system. I don't think my 2014 was pre-wired for a camera, but, I think I could get power out of a marker light or tail light(?)
Now I just need $500 or so.

Re: Anderson Levelers anybody?
Update: I finally was able to get out to the trailer and test fit, sure enough I had to cut off about 3 inches to get it to fit properly between the wheels on my 329BHU. This was about a five minute job with a hacksaw. Next up: The first real life test next weekend on our first outing of the year (...

Re: What did you do to/with your Starcraft TODAY?
I need to mount another TV in the back bunk but can't figure out how to get the cable back there. Plus I still haven't figured out if the HD antenna can have two different programs on different TVs at the same time if you use a splitter. Can't help you with routing the cable... Look for routes unde...
