2 years of modfications
I have now had my unit (Autumn Ridge 329BH) for 2 years and have taken 7 trips, typically 7 to 9 days per trip. 1) One thing I noticed right away is that the unit bounces around too much especially when my kids are in the bunk house. I installed a SteadyFast RV Stabilizer System for 5th Wheels and C...

Re: Solar Panel Port
My 2015 329BHU came with the Zamp port as well. I do a fair amount of dry camping and I tried to buy a Zamp solar panel but they were sold out everywhere. I ended up buying a GoPower 120 watt panel. It came with a harness to attach to the battery with a nice heavy duty quick disconnect. I hooked it ...

Re: Initial Experience and Quality
We are on our fourth trip with our unit. The bathroom sink counter is delaminating badly with the back right corner curling up. The bathroom AC duct is completely blocked. It looks like they started to drill the hole for it, then stopped and mounted the grill over a dead end. Before the trip I was c...

Re: Initial Experience and Quality
Seeing as it is 1-1/2 hours each way to my dealer I have started fixing some things myself. 1) The no propane flow to the grill was the back bumper quick disconnect, I replaced it with a new one and it works fine. 2) I found an un-calked place around the shower where a wood chip was sitting where is...

Re: Tow Vehicle Sizing
Ok, so the TV GVWR - dry weight gives you 1,585 pounds of max payload. The trailer GVWR is 6,250 so if you load the trailer to capacity for safe towing the tongue weight will be 688 to 750 pounds (11% to 12%). The 540 pound tongue weight is with the trailer empty (12%). That leaves you with 835 to 8...

Re: Initial Experience and Quality
I agree, the problem is I did that, they fixed all but one item that is waiting for parts and now new things are cropping up.

Re: Initial Experience and Quality
Well this is going well. Our second trip with the camper and now: 1) As mentioned previously the shower is leaking. 2) We can't get gas to flow to the bumper grill. 3) The USB charging ports died. 4) The black water holding tank valve has always been difficult to operate but is now approaching impos...

Re: Tow Vehicle Sizing
I will try to answer your question but I need more information first. I can't find the 24RLS on the Strarcraft web site. What is the tongue weight, the GVWR and the actual dry weight from the sticker on the side of yours. For the TV the maximum payload depends on the wheelbase, drive type and engine...

Tow Vehicle Capacities
One thing I see a lot is people towing trailers with tow vehicles that are overloaded. I think there is a lot of confusion about vehicle capacities for safe towing. The car companies promote the towing capacities of their vehicles as a simple number when in fact it is more complicated than that and ...
