Re: Recall heads up
FYI, ours had none of the brackets installed. All of the brackets were still in a plastic bag ziptied to the furnace. The furnace was just sitting in place with nothing holding it in place. The local dealer said it would be several weeks before they could address the problem. I was able to do it mys...

Re: Newbie Question - Furnace on 187TB
If propane has been turned off at the tank valve, and the rig has been sitting unused for a period of time, the gas in the lines to the appliances will sometimes dissipate. The lines need to be purged of air. Try turning the tank valve on slowly, then open one of the burner valves on your propane st...

DIY Emergency Flasher Unit for trailers
A recent series of exchanges in these forums touched briefly on safety problems that might be experienced if a trailer became disabled on the roadside, especially at night. Normal procedures would be to move as far off the road as possible, turn on emergency flashers and put out emergency reflector ...

Re: Added 120 VAC outlet above sink
When as many people identify a problem...or at least an inconvenience...one wonders if the RV manufacturers ever spend any serious time checking forums such as this one to learn how they might better design their products. The outlet mounted under the overhead cabinets to the extreme right of the si...

Re: Solar Panel battery charging
Kuba122- (GaryG - Kirkb), Thanks for the great information. Having the numbers is very useful for the folks who'll use them. As you pointed out, having higher-wattage panels or multiple lower wattage panels improves the potential for successful off-grid use. SolarLaunch2.JPG Lengthy off-grid camping...

Re: Solar Panel battery charging
Gary, I probably should have been more specific about "breakaway brakes" in my initial post. Sorry for any confusion.

Re: Solar Panel battery charging
Gary G said Thanks for your response to my solar panel post. I appreciate the added info about the furnace running at night. I will watch this carefully. I am a bit confused as to why, when hooking up the trailer to the tow vehicle that you would be worried about sufficient power for the electric b...

Re: Hidden Storage
Greetings all, I was somewhat surprised, after encountering this owners' forum, to find that a number of other people had encountered the "missing rear storage compartment" on the Launch 24RLS. In early 2015 we attended an RV Show and were able to thoroughly examine a 2015 model 24RLS that a dealer ...

Re: Solar Panel battery charging
Hi Guys, I started using solar panels to top up batteries several years ago when I started using a travel trailer at our hunting camp, which is way off the grid. I mounted two 15 watt solar panels & controller on a frame made from 3/4" PVC pipe. The frame can be manually moved, and the angle of the ...
