Re: new to us AR one 18 QB
yes, mostly they are very similar, especially the appliances and fixtures. This is the newest trailer we've ever had. we bought and sold and usually had to fix, a procession of older trailers. What I like about the AR one, is it seems to be pretty well built, especially the roof. I like that it is r...

new to us AR one 18 QB
We have recently purchased a 2016 AR one 18QB. I really, really like this trailer. maybe since it is technically 2 years old, things that weren't right have been fixed. but to me, it is flawless. not any sign of being used at all, and in pristine condition. Anyway, as I do with all things, I've been...

Re: L "dinette" seat?
we have now taken two trips in our AR 1 18 QB. Not long, but enough to start getting the "feel" of how it works. To my surprise and delight, I actually like the L couch and narrow table. we don't put the table down, or away, just move it in toward the seat when not in use. there are two of us and tw...

Happy with AR one 18QB
we recently purchased a 2016 AR one 18 QB. We moved up from an older, very small travel trailer and I had my doubts about this "Big" trailer. I was worried about how the longer length would be to pull and back up, and how it would affect the gas milage of our tow vehicle. I had doubts about the L di...

Re: a greeting
It's funny how when we first saw the AR one 18 BH, it seemed enormous. Our "history" is pop ups, VW westfalia, Rialta, very small TT. now it just doesn't seem huge, but still big. I know people classify it as a small trailer, but I guess all things are relative to one's experience and where they lik...

Re: L "dinette" seat?
I have another idea! Instead of mods to dinette area, what if we put a tri-fold sleeper sofa where the bed is? no plans yet, but it sure would be nice to have a more comfortable daytime seating area. of course, the whole idea of the new camper was the permanent bed, but nice to know it's an option. ...

Re: Solar battery charging project AROne
after research, I believe that the port for solar is really just a straight connection to the battery. So the charge controller is necessary. We copied your idea of mounting it on the back of the panel. I had an extra cord with the proper polarity and plug on it, so used that. I suppose it is probab...

Re: a greeting
I like it too! it seems the best compromise of size and features. Hope it's well built and is a good one.

Re: a greeting
we picked it up yesterday and towed it home, a distance of about 50 miles. our tow vehicle is a v6 toyota, 2005 vintage, with a big v6, tacoma chassis and 5 speed auto transmission. It is 2 wd and rated to tow 5000#. because of previous campers, we have learned the importance of packing light. I do ...

Re: L "dinette" seat?
I sure will post pics. It sounds like we have different floor plans, but the same basic problem. Our dining bench runs from the door at the rear, under the one rear window. the shorter part of the "L" comes into the space between the kitchen and dinette. I wish we had a narrow booth type so we could...
